Our Story /// Form Architects began as an adolescent friendship, formed with similar passions for adventure; from hiking the mountains in British Columbia to open-sea scuba diving in Fiji. Shared interests guided them into a paralleled stream of higher education and ultimately, the study of Architecture. Jochem, born in Holland and raised in the Fraser Valley, travelled back to his homeland and completed his Masters of Architecture at TU Delft. After school, Jochem worked in award-winning firms across Holland and Italy before moving back to BC where he worked at Diamond Schmitt Architects. Brent completed his Masters of Architecture at Hochschule Wismar in Germany and gained work experience at X Architecture and the Office of McFarlane Bigger Architects. Brent and Jochem have both worked over a combined 20+ years on a breadth of multidisciplinary projects, ranging from the complexities of Telus Ocean Victoria and Capstan Skytrain Station to high-end residential projects scattered throughout British Columbia.

Out of this longtime relationship, Brent and Jochem founded Form Architects in 2022 with the vision to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships within their community. The means to accomplish this is through Architecture; creating beautiful and inspiring spaces that empower and elevate the local communities. We would love to share in your vision for your next project. Please reach out to see how we can collaborate.
